I’m With You to the End (detail) (2018) | 28″ x 16″ x 4″ | Church pew fabric and foam

The material from this piece was reclaimed from pews from a church that was being renovated to become a safe haven for an area of town that was dealing with some hard issues. I began to think through the history of these pews. I wanted to in some way spur people on, I want to spur me on to give others a life saver. In the end, I want this piece to declare to others that ‘I’m With You to the End’.
